| | Welcome AJR Comm. Inc. was founded in 2002 to combat the risks of Commotio Cordis. Our mission is to educate the public about Commotio Cordis, and to manufacture an effective preventative measure to help protect young athletes.
Our product, The Heart Shield, was developed to give maximum protection from an object hitting the heart region. Unlike anything on the market today, this vest has been shown in repeated testing to reduce the impact force by nearly half. It has also been designed to protect without restricting or inhibiting the movement of play.
The Heart Shield was designed with your child's safety in mind. Commotio Cordis is caused when an object strikes the chest wall within the critical heart area. This occurs in individuals with no underlying cardiac disease and can be fatal.
Although the National Athletic Trainers’ Association has proposed protective vests, no other products on the market could pass independent testing to show sufficient reduction in force.
Our hope is that parents, coaches and youth sports organizations will be proactive in implementing preventative measures to deal with this threat facing today’s young athletes.
